Mindfulness is the art of bringing a nonjudgmental awareness to our thoughts and to the present moment. We’re learning more all the time about how mindfulness helps us be more healthy, happy, focused, creative and productive. There are all sorts of ways to cultivate mindfulness – meditation, crafting, painting, walking, dancing…and writing!

Discover how a brief writing exercise, the Six A’s of Mindful Writing, builds attitudes essential to mindfulness: awareness, attention, acceptance, affection, appreciation and affirmation. All you need are your favorite writing supplies (either paper or an e-device is fine) and your willingness to give it a try. It’s super-interesting, and you don’t need to be an experienced or talented writer to do it. No one will read or critique your writing, and you’ll gain a self-help skill you can keep on using.
