Sometimes a #signofhope appears in your own backyard!
With a loud whirring of feathers, surprisingly loud for so small a bird, a sparrow flew into our shed while I getting ready for a bike ride. It immediately flew into the window (which cannot be opened) in an unsuccessful escape attempt.
I held my breath, hoping it wouldn’t batter itself against the glass. As much as I wanted to help, there was little I could do except witness its struggle and trust that if I waited it would find its own way out.
I trusted and waited. The bird, after resting quietly for a few minutes, found its way to the open door.
There’s a lesson in that, and a #signofhope.
