It’s true that the US and much of the rest of the world is struggling through a time of violence, turmoil and uncertainty. It’s also true that in the midst of all this, there are signs of hope. These signs of hope can replenish us and help us move forward.
This week, I asked the members of the Keys to Change FB group to share signs of hope they find in their own lives. KTCers responded with beautiful photos, blog posts, and gratitude for family members’ positive life events.
Here are some signs of hope that I found this week:
The insightful discussion held by the diverse group of teens and adults at my first Write Night event at Impact Hub in Baltimore. The event is a hybrid of a social evening and a writing for well-being workshop. The event itself will evolve and grow in response to participant feedback and my own observations, but wow! The conversation was heartfelt, uplifting and inspiring.
This effort to do something positive about injustice and violence.
And this video about how parents, caregivers and young children. There’s just something uplifting and encouraging about watching adults give their children just what they need to have a childhood that creates healthy, confident adults. Now that’s how to build a better world!
What about you, dear reader? What signs of hope did you find this week?
