“My work with Nancy Seibel and the Seasons of Change coaching was so important. I was dealing with difficult business issues and choices. The Seasons of Change coaching gave me a structure to work through where I was, both in my work and personal lives, and to act on that structure. I also appreciated Nancy so much. Her thoughtful gentleness through both her instruction and her suggestions created a sense of safety during the process. She and the Seasons of Change taught me how to reframe my ways of observing, to think through my choices and decisions via the very essense of nature and in changing my perspective, she coached me to take clearer steps in dealing with my business. I am very pleased to say that our work resulted in a doubling of my clients and creating a much more mutually supportive family life.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your qualifications to be a coach?
My formal credentials include an M.Ed. in Counselor Education (University of Pittsburgh). I took my life coach training through the Institute for Life Coach Training. I have an NCC (National Certified Counselor) and a BCC (Board Certified Counselor Coach). I take ongoing professional education courses to maintain these certifications, which I both have to do and like doing. Credentials tell you about my commitment to learning, professionalism and ethical practice. They don’t tell the full story though. In over 30 years in human services and nonprofit work I’ve honed my natural abilities as an empathic, creative, clear-thinking and strengths-focused listener who stays focused on your interests, perspective and goals. The success of coaching engagement rests on the quality of the relationship we create. I’m exceptionally skilled in creating effective working relationships. I consider this so important that if you or I find we aren’t connecting successfully I will gladly recommend other options for you.
Do I have to make a long term commitment to coaching?
The length of time you stay involved in coaching, the number of sessions you have and the length and frequency of those sessions is up to you. When are you done? When you’re satisfied that you’ve reached your goals. I’ve seen that happen in one session for some people and I’ve seen it take 6 months or more for others. On average I find that people stay involved in coaching for 3 months, and have 1 session per month.
How much does coaching cost?
See my services and fees page for no-cost services and costs for individual and group coaching. Per session costs for individual coaching can be reduced by pre-paying for a membership. I am happy to design individualized pre-paid coaching packages for those wishing a discount outside of the two membership options. Group coaching greatly reduces costs and provides the benefits of peer support and interaction coupled with my expert group facilitation. I offer group sessions periodically. Feel free to contact me if you have a group of four or more who would like to take part in group coaching.
How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Are you an over-giving, service-focused professional yearning to reconnect to what matters most in life: caring relationships, core purpose, and clear vision? Have you been stuck for a while and feel ready to move forward? Are you ready to to take care of yourself, so you can take care of everything else? Then coaching with Keys to Change may very well be right for you! Take my assessment to learn more.

Do you offer refunds?

If you prepay for coaching sessions and then decide not to use them, I will gladly refund the balance, in accordance with our coaching agreement. I do not offer refunds for completed coaching sessions or for cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice. I do not offer refunds for group coaching or workshops with less than 1 week’s notice, though in some cases can apply those fees toward future events.

Can I use my insurance to pay for coaching?
Coaching is not covered by insurance. If you’re concerned about cost here’s a couple of things to think about. I understand about financial constraints and will work with you to develop an individualized plan that fits your budget, as well as your available time and energy. Coaching is an investment in you and in the quality of your life. How much is it worth to you to discover a lasting increase in well-being, in your sense of hope, meaning and purpose? I would never advise anyone to spend beyond their means. I would suggest thinking of what you do spend your discretionary dollars on, and ask yourself, do these purchases provide a lasting boost to happiness and well-being? How much am I ready to invest in taking care of my self, so I can keep taking care of everything else?
Is coaching a lot of work?

Coaching does take time, and much of the change and growth happens in between coaching sessions. It’s up to you how much time to spend on exercises in between sessions. We’ll work it out so the time needed is manageable for you. While there will be some work involved, it’s kind of work where you make discoveries, figure things out and find the energy to reconnect with what matters most in life – caring relationships, core purpose and clear vision. Coaching with me means you’ve got a partner – I stand with you, guide you, encourage you and, if you need it, provide accountability. Plus I bring a good dose of humor along the way.
